A Beautiful Brikka Pot Recipe

The Brikka Pot is an enhanced version of the Moka Pot, which gives you a richer coffee topped with a delicious cream. And this, is made possible with a patented valve. More than a durable and low maintenance coffee maker, the Brikka Pot is a beautiful piece of art that never goes out of fashion. Follow this Brikka recipe for a nostalgic coffee experience!

  • Grind only when you are ready to brew.
  • Use espresso roast coffee. Grind fine. We recommend the following grind sizes:
      • 1 to 2 notches for Hario Skerton +
      • 2 to 4 for Baratza Encore

How to play

Step 1

Place the Brikka Pot’s bottom vessel on the coffee scale. Tare the scale. Using the top chamber, measure and pour 100g of water (room temperature) into the bottom vessel.

Step 2

Grind 18g of coffee.

Step 3

Fill the coffee basket with 18g of coffee grounds. Give the basket a little tap at the side and use your finger to level the grounds (no tamping or pressure needed). Then, place it onto the bottom vessel.

Step 4

Connect the bottom vessel to the top chamber. Ensure they are sealed well together.

Step 5

With the safety valve pointing away from you, place the Brikka Pot on the stove to brew at medium heat. Your espresso will start to flow slowly then speed up. Once you hear a gurgling sound, turn off the heat and remove the Brikka from the stove.

 

Serve as is or with frothed milk.

For 38 years, Fazenda Salto has been a labour of love for the Reis family.

 

Spanning 800 hectares, Dr. Fabio Reis and his sons combine tradition with innovation to create coffee that brings joy to every cup.

 

They’ve installed static drying boxes, built raised African beds, and mapped the farm for tailored processing.

 

Perfectly ripe cherries are dried on raised African beds for 28 days, achieving 11.35% moisture, then rested in wooden silos for 10 days. Their dedication ensures exceptional flavour in every sip!

This coffee is produced by 20 smallholders from Tablón de Gómez, Nariño. Located on the border with Ecuador, Nariño has a history of FARC activity which has caused instability. About This Coffee

Located in east-central Africa, Rwanda is warmly known as “the land of a thousand hills.” About half a million smallholder farmers grow coffee here, each owning around 180 coffee trees.

 

The Gitega Hills Washing Station, established in 2016 on 6 hectares of land, hires locals and helps create jobs in the area. Lot 140 is a microlot carefully selected and meticulously processed to ensure consistency and exceptional quality.
